Natura - Foundation for the Conservation of Natural Resources
The Foundation for the Conservation of Natural Resources (Fundación Natura) was created in 1991 to contribute to the protection and integrated management of priority watersheds through environmental and economic assessment, participatory processes and fund management. This management is achieved through various types of administration: complete - administration of an endowment fund and two debt-for-nature swaps, financing projects to NGOs and accompanying them technically and financially, intermediate - extinguishable funds and project execution, basic - extinguishable funds; they also support Green Coalitions which are alliances with the private sector and allocation of resources to grassroots and pro-bono community organizations which is the administration of extinguishable funds for non-formal community organizations.
Fundación Natura works in protected areas and buffer zones, wetlands, forests of all kinds and farms, throughout Panamanian territory.
