The focus was on promoting sustainable forestry actions in the buffer zones of protected wildlife areas. A total of 15 profiles were received from 15 entities, which were evaluated, pre-selecting 9 of them. The pre-selected entities were then invited to develop and submit a full proposal, which was analysed individually by an Assessment Committee made up of members of the Council for the Conservation of Tropical Forests, and its conclusions and recommendations discussed collectively during the Council's meeting on 6 April 2016.
