On 6 July 2021, the Environmental Investment Fund of El Salvador (FIAES) celebrated its 28th anniversary. In addition, its conservation initiative in the El Imposible-Barra de Santiago area on restoration, resilience to climate change and diversification of agroforestry systems in coffee plantations was selected for promotion within the framework of the United Nations Decade for Ecosystem Restoration. This international initiative aims to become a focal point for projects, partners, funding and knowledge to support successful restoration measures.
