Fondo de Conservación de Bosques Tropicales de Paraguay - FCBT
Established in 2006 as a result of the debt swap between Paraguay and the United States, its work is aimed at promoting the conservation, management and restoration of natural environments and their diversity, through the collection, administration and channeling of financial resources to contribute to the country's sustainable development. The Fund's priority area of intervention is the "Southern Corridor of the Upper Paraná Atlantic Forest", also known as BAAPA, which is important for its biodiversity and degree of endemism. The Paraguayan Forest Conservation Fund operates through a program of calls for proposals, which includes counterparts, and thus grants resources to different types of organizations that implement activities aimed at the conservation, maintenance and restoration of forests.
